Dragonlance movies - future?

I was wondering if Paramount will take a page out of the industry's history books and look at what the animated versions of J.R.R. Tokien's stories from the early 80's (?) and perhaps decide to start fresh with a live action film? IMDbPro has no information on what the sales were for this video. Regardless of the reviews, the sales and rentals were (as I understand) very good.
Seeing it as a live action film... Over the years there have been fan favourites (actors) to play...

Hello all, Are there any plans for this at all? I've noticed all of R.A. Salvatores books are available in ebook format (even bought a few), but have not seen anything with the dragonlance series. So it's apparent that Wotc are allowing some books in ebook format....

And while we are at it, how about audible?

I posted this on another board a few weeks ago.

I am not sure if this will be read by Tracy. But hopefully others can give their opinions too!

I want to say that the DragonLance Chronicles and Legends are two of the most truly well thought out and satisfying book series (or any of the individual books alone) I have ever read.

Though I haven't played the Dungeons and Dragons game, nor am I at all familiar with it, nonetheless I feel that regardless...

Does anyone out there remember a performance by Tracy Hickman and friends which included a parody song about the Knights of Solamnia. It was many years ago at either Dragon Con or Gen Con. The song was set to the tune of "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees. I am looking for a complete copy of the lyrics.

Some of the lyrics that I can remember are:

Hi -- I would like to send the Dragonlance series and the Trilogy to a person in jail. They cannot receive books from B&N or Amazon. They can only receive directly from a publisher. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

This is hard to find... I would prefer to find these available on itunes or audible.com, but they seem to be found nowhere (except for torrent sites.)...

Dragonlance Movie Soundtrack Announced

I just heard from Karl Preusser this morning that the soundtrack to the Dragonlance movie has an official iTunes release date of May 13th!

Say what you will about the animation, the soundtrack was absolutely incredible. Karl has forwarded the track list to us in advance.

We know Cam's book should be out in the next few months, and Jamie's writing a book.

I recently learned that Sturm and Kit had a kid(Steel). At first I couldn't believe that Sturm would do something like that. Anyways, their kid makes for an interesting character I suppose. What book said they had a fling? I have Darkness and Light, but it isn't in there.

I am a fan of audiobooks. However, there are not many audiobooks from Dragonalnce that are not on cassette tapes. Needless to say, this medium is outdated. I can't remember the last time I had access to a tape deck.

Tracy, will there be an effort to upgrade from cassette to CD or MP3 format the existing audiobooks? Also, will there be an effort to begin putting all of the books on audio, in either the CD or MP3 format? I'm suspecting, that with this new endeavor into transferring the...

I'd first like to say that I am a huge fan of the Dragonlance series and have great respect for Margaret and Tracy.

That being said... This movie is abysmal. I don't like to even call it a movie, because it doesn't really qualify. I think Tracy hit the nail on the head when he said it would have been best to split the 1st book into two movies.

For readers of the books they will obviously have a fondness for the characters. For non-readers, like my wife, the characters are...

I just looked over the listing. I wish I could say I had the money to make a serious bid.

The one piece of art I desperately wanted was when Brom offer the original for The Messenger a couple of years ago; that's always been one of my favorite covers. The price was something north of several grand; I didn't have the money for that then either.
