It's a close tie for first and second. I have always been partial to Dwarves, it seems that is what I end up playing all the time. So Flint takes the prize with me. Second has to be Tasselhoff. They are Dragonlance's version of the Odd Couple.
I once played a Kender on a MUD, had the Immys laughing uncontrollably, and had about 4 other players so frustrated they tried to get me site banned, I swear I have never typed so fast in my life. Mason |

My favorite is probably Laurana.. She embodies purity, yet has a strong sense of authority... I just like her very much..
I of course also enjoy Raistlin and his antics.... |

Without a doubt, Raistlin is my favorite with Tanis coming in at a very, very close second.

From the chronicals? Laurana after the first book. (She annoyed me in the first. o.o) as well as Raistlin.
Otherwise? Marshal Medan by a landslide. Don't really know why, but I adore him. Dalamar as well. |

My favorite. Is obviously Tas. His fearlessness, his stories, (for some reason he never seems to get to finish). Almost always a smile on his face. Glad to meet new people. And happy to give you back that money pouch that you must have dropped.

Laurana for her purity and strength her heroism and compassion. In Dragons of Winter Night she really moves me when she tells Tasslehoff to feel good that he can weep for the death of an enemy.
Crysania as well because of the lessons she learns in her odessey through time and and the abyss. She starts from a cold hearted woman and becomes one of the most compassionate characters by the end of The Legends. Here is a question I always wanted to ask. Who had a greater influence in the writing of Crysania Tracy or Margaret? I ask because I know Tracy developed Caramons character and Margaret really developed Raistlin. And of course Tasslehoff and Raistlin. those are for the good characters Now for the Villains Mina tragic in the extreme destined to be a great force of good and ends up being one of the greatest evils of Krynn. Takhisis Queen of Darkness her corruption of Mina I believe illustrates just how evil and depraved she truly is |

Don't let anyone ever tell you that you are what you are, when you can surely be something more.
My favourite has to be the Raistlin, simply because of what he made of himself despite where he came from. One could mistake him for being bad? Well he did burn down that town didn't he? Let alone the sacrifice he made in the abyss. I only hope that, one day I can be as brave and show as much inner fire for life AND death as he did. '... ''I tell you, I heard hammering coming from the smithy'' he pleaded barely able to raise his voice to match his emotion. Barthels frown at Peter turned into a scowl that seemed to match the air of the evening. The heat burning on and on so close to winter. ''The smithy has been abandoned for 6 seasons now, are you mad with the heat?''. "That's just it, someone or something is as we speak forging and hammering. The heat has risen since I started to hear. I tell you Barthels we need to evacuate and move to the valley!'' A noise from a horse tied close by made him jump. "Madness!" was all Barthels could respond. What can be happening to Peter? he thought. ''The mountain side was given by the Gods for its bountiful with the rain and the shine for our crops, we can't leave on a whim of a man slowly going mad'' Barthels decided. "I will not do anything till I speak with the the elders of the village" Again the horse shifted serving to help Barthels feel more uncomfortable. ''Peter, you've been my friend since we were but midglings the size of Pearl Peak over yonder. Remember measuring our self's to it in the season of shine?'' Peter shifted on his feet, memories merging suddenly with his strange fever. ''I tell you, the stories are true. The Gods hammer out our excistence at the forge of The Thabian and that is The Thabian forge''. Soul Forge, Barthels thought for a moment. Momentarily later helped by the horse manuvering against its gate the thought left him... Copywrite: Open. |

mine's tasselhoff burfoot
i love his innocent mischief, along with the humor that spawned from this trait. great comic relief. I also like the fact that everyone talks bad about him and see him as a nusence, yet he does some of the most important things in the story. i also like his resilliance (sp?) |

Fizban. There's a lot to be said about a befuddled old mage that is along for comic relief who turns out to be the wise embodiment of good.

Re: Favourite Characters

When I first read the series it was Raistlin, but now I would have to say Tanis and Dalamar. I relate a lot to Tanis, so that has a lot to do with why he's my favorite. I also seem to have a thing for the main characters or leader types in stories. As for Dalamar, I also tend to like the characters who sit on the line between good and evil and just happen to be on the good side because that's what's benefiting them at the time. I also relate to him when it comes to homesickness.

I cried when he died. Then, after reading all the books since they were started, I have cried over all of them. |

Re: Favourite Characters

Well I love alot of the characters from DL of course. But My faveorite has To be Laurana. Of all the characters I think she has the most development during the series. She starts out as a petulant spoiled brat and matures into a wise, noble, charismatic and brave leader. Of all the characters I think she grows the most.
But I gotta give props to Raistlin. Who's just cool. |

Re: Favourite Characters

My favorite character is Tasslehoff Burrfoot. He is fearless and never lets anything get him down not even flints grumbling can make him froun. No matter what the situation is, he will always have something to say, especially when he is telling one of his glorious stories of clashing swords, dragons fire and citadels.
