There was such an amazing opportunity here and I truly wish it had been taken advantage of.

The characters were ok, alittle 80ish and there could have been a few changes, but still very acceptable. I still don't understand the idea of combining 2d and 3d. I think that the 2d style they went with would have made the dragons and draconians look much better and worked with the rest of the movie overall. I have a bachelors degree in Arts of Animation and I can honestly say, I've created better models and animations as school projects. I was really disappointed in that aspect.

The storyline was rushed, alot of scenes I was looking forward to seeing didn't happen. I agree with using 2 movies to tell the whole story. The character voices were ok, the dialog butchered. To many lines were cut out that made the spoken lines cause for confusion. It was like walking into a conversation between two people and knowing that the beginning of the conversation would open worlds to what they're talking about and offer a much deeper understanding.

I've always hoped for an animated version over life action..knowing that live action would never do it justice, unless it was given the budget of LoTR. I believed with an animated movie there'd be much more of a chance to tell the story properly giving the books the full justice they deserve and allow non-readers a chance to experience this wonderful world.

Ultimately opening the doors to greater possibilities and a chance for a larger budget, live action movie that had the resources to show Dragonlance in all its glory.
