About a week ago, I began reading Dragon Wing again for the third time in my 29 years on this Earth. Of course, the other two times, I read the 'cycle' the whole way through and have to say, with its attention to cultural detail, in-depth study of the growth and moral facade of humanity, as well as being an epic, Death Gate Cycle has been a wonderful journey of entertainment that I hope to enjoy over and over again. Recently, though, the cycle has done something more signifigant in my life... it has rekindled the writer inside of me that had been subdued and smoothered by years and years of bitter, harsh reality preoccupation. I've always wanted to write (and have written several things in the past) but lost my way. The Hickman-Weis way of writing once again inspired me back to my true calling. I simply had to write and share my gratitude. Thanks!
